Barangay Valencia

Situated in Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands, Barangay Valencia is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Valencia had a population of 2,253. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Cagdianao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Valencia accounted for approximately 12.28% of the total population of Cagdianao, which stood at 18,350 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Valencia changed from 1,832 to 2,253, a shift of +23.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Cagdianao. Barangay Valencia is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Cagdianao is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Valencia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
