Barangay Lubong

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Lubong is one of the administrative divisions of Calanasan in Apayao, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lubong had a population of 510. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in Calanasan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lubong accounted for approximately 4.06% of the total population of Calanasan, which stood at 12,550 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lubong moving from 494 residents to 510 residents, an intercensal change of +3.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lubong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
