Barangay Madangog

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Madangog is one of the administrative divisions of Calape in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Madangog had a population of 750. This made it the 17th largest of 33 barangays in Calape by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Madangog accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Calape, which stood at 33,079 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Madangog changed from 724 to 750, a shift of +3.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Calape. Barangay Madangog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calape is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Madangog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Madangog ranks 708th by 2020 population.
