Situated in Calasiao, Pangasinan, Barangay Macabito is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Macabito had a population of 4,395. This made it the 9th largest of 24 barangays in Calasiao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macabito accounted for approximately 4.37% of the total population of Calasiao, which stood at 100,471 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,025 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,395 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Macabito is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
