Barangay Poblacion East

Barangay Poblacion East is a small barangay in the municipality of Calasiao, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 1,671. This made it the 23rd largest of 24 barangays in Calasiao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 1.66% of the total population of Calasiao, which stood at 100,471 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,693 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,671 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Poblacion East is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Calasiao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
