Barangay Daligan

Situated in Calbiga, Samar, Barangay Daligan is one of 41 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Daligan had a population of 179. This made it the 35th largest of 41 barangays in Calbiga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Daligan accounted for approximately 0.77% of the total population of Calbiga, which stood at 23,310 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 186 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 179 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Daligan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calbiga is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Daligan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
