Barangay Rawis

Situated in Calbiga, Samar, Barangay Rawis is one of 41 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rawis had a population of 606. This made it the 13th largest of 41 barangays in Calbiga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rawis accounted for approximately 2.60% of the total population of Calbiga, which stood at 23,310 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rawis moving from 576 residents to 606 residents, an intercensal change of +5.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Rawis is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
