Barangay Afunan Cabayu

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Afunan Cabayu is one of the administrative divisions of Camalaniugan in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Afunan Cabayu had a population of 489. This made it the 22nd largest of 28 barangays in Camalaniugan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Afunan Cabayu accounted for approximately 1.94% of the total population of Camalaniugan, which stood at 25,236 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Afunan Cabayu changed from 494 to 489, a shift of -1.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Camalaniugan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Afunan Cabayu as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
