Barangay Pinamopoan

Barangay Pinamopoan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Capoocan, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pinamopoan had a population of 3,233. This made it the 2nd largest of 21 barangays in Capoocan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pinamopoan accounted for approximately 9.59% of the total population of Capoocan, which stood at 33,721 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pinamopoan moving from 3,010 residents to 3,233 residents, an intercensal change of +7.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pinamopoan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
