Barangay Manorigao

Situated in Caraga, Davao Oriental, Barangay Manorigao is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Manorigao had a population of 1,661. This made it the 10th largest of 17 barangays in Caraga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manorigao accounted for approximately 4.18% of the total population of Caraga, which stood at 39,704 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Manorigao changed from 1,837 to 1,661, a shift of -9.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Caraga. Barangay Manorigao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Caraga is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manorigao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
