Barangay Lidong

Barangay Lidong forms part of Caramoan, a municipality in Camarines Sur, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lidong had a population of 833. This made it the 30th largest of 49 barangays in Caramoan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lidong accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Caramoan, which stood at 51,728 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lidong moving from 418 residents to 833 residents, an intercensal change of +99.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lidong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Caramoan is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lidong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lidong ranks 808th by 2020 population.
