Barangay Malabog

Barangay Malabog is a small barangay in the municipality of Caramoan, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malabog had a population of 976. This made it the 24th largest of 49 barangays in Caramoan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabog accounted for approximately 1.89% of the total population of Caramoan, which stood at 51,728 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malabog moving from 982 residents to 976 residents, an intercensal change of -0.6%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malabog as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Caramoan is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malabog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
