Barangay Paniman

Situated in Caramoan, Camarines Sur, Barangay Paniman is one of 49 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paniman had a population of 1,797. This made it the 6th largest of 49 barangays in Caramoan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paniman accounted for approximately 3.47% of the total population of Caramoan, which stood at 51,728 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Paniman changed from 1,432 to 1,797, a shift of +25.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Caramoan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paniman as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Caramoan is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paniman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Paniman ranks 417th by 2020 population.
