This made it the 1st largest of 14 barangays in Castillejos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. The barangay recorded 9,115 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 12,139 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +33.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Del Pilar as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Castillejos is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Del Pilar, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
