Barangay 1 (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay 1 (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Catanauan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 1 (Pob.) had a population of 1,914. This made it the 15th largest of 46 barangays in Catanauan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 1 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.63% of the total population of Catanauan, which stood at 72,752 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 1 (Pob.) changed from 1,809 to 1,914, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Catanauan. Barangay 1 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Catanauan is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 1 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
