Barangay Sinakayanan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Sinakayanan is one of the administrative divisions of Catigbian in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sinakayanan had a population of 1,008. This made it the 13th largest of 22 barangays in Catigbian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sinakayanan accounted for approximately 4.23% of the total population of Catigbian, which stood at 23,805 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sinakayanan changed from 913 to 1,008, a shift of +10.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Catigbian. Barangay Sinakayanan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Catigbian is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sinakayanan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sinakayanan ranks 510th by 2020 population.
