Barangay Sisilmin

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Sisilmin is one of the administrative divisions of Cavinti in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sisilmin had a population of 341. This made it the 16th largest of 19 barangays in Cavinti by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sisilmin accounted for approximately 1.42% of the total population of Cavinti, which stood at 23,980 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 272 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 341 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +25.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sisilmin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cavinti is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sisilmin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sisilmin ranks 610th by 2020 population.
