Barangay Cayucay

Barangay Cayucay is a small barangay in the City of Alaminos, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cayucay had a population of 1,855. This made it the 23rd largest of 39 barangays in City of Alaminos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Cayucay accounted for approximately 1.87% of the total population of City of Alaminos, which stood at 99,397 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cayucay changed from 1,649 to 1,855, a shift of +12.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Alaminos. Barangay Cayucay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Alaminos is a city comprising 39 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cayucay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cayucay ranks 700th by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
