Barangay Lag-Asan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Lag-Asan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Bago in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lag-Asan had a population of 12,854. This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in City of Bago by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Lag-Asan accounted for approximately 6.72% of the total population of City of Bago, which stood at 191,210 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lag-Asan changed from 11,784 to 12,854, a shift of +9.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Bago. Barangay Lag-Asan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Bago is a city comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lag-Asan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
