Barangay Mailum

Barangay Mailum is a large barangay in the City of Bago, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mailum had a population of 9,898. This made it the 7th largest of 24 barangays in City of Bago by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Mailum accounted for approximately 5.18% of the total population of City of Bago, which stood at 191,210 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mailum changed from 8,844 to 9,898, a shift of +11.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Bago. Barangay Mailum is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Bago is a city comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mailum, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
