Barangay Tabunan

Situated in City of Bago, Negros Occidental, Barangay Tabunan is one of 24 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tabunan had a population of 9,365. This made it the 10th largest of 24 barangays in City of Bago by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Tabunan accounted for approximately 4.90% of the total population of City of Bago, which stood at 191,210 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tabunan changed from 6,224 to 9,365, a shift of +50.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Bago. Barangay Tabunan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Bago is a city comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tabunan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
