Barangay Barani (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Barani (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of City of Batac in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Barani (Pob.) had a population of 636. This made it the 38th largest of 43 barangays in City of Batac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Barani (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.15% of the total population of City of Batac, which stood at 55,484 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 659 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 636 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Barani (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Batac is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Barani (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
