Barangay Kantagnos

Barangay Kantagnos is a small barangay in the city of City of Baybay, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kantagnos had a population of 605. This made it the 66th largest of 92 barangays in City of Baybay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Kantagnos accounted for approximately 0.54% of the total population of City of Baybay, which stood at 111,848 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kantagnos moving from 561 residents to 605 residents, an intercensal change of +7.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kantagnos as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Baybay is a city comprising 92 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kantagnos, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
