Barangay Poblacion Zone 5

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion Zone 5 is one of the administrative divisions of City of Baybay in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion Zone 5 had a population of 760. This made it the 53rd largest of 92 barangays in City of Baybay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Zone 5 accounted for approximately 0.68% of the total population of City of Baybay, which stood at 111,848 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 733 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 760 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion Zone 5 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
