Barangay Pomponan

Barangay Pomponan is a mid-sized barangay in the city of City of Baybay, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pomponan had a population of 3,159. This made it the 4th largest of 92 barangays in City of Baybay by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Pomponan accounted for approximately 2.82% of the total population of City of Baybay, which stood at 111,848 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pomponan moving from 3,156 residents to 3,159 residents, an intercensal change of +0.1%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
