Barangay San Juan

Situated in City of Baybay, Leyte, Barangay San Juan is one of 92 barangays that make up the city within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 41st largest of 92 barangays in City of Baybay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 0.91% of the total population of City of Baybay, which stood at 111,848 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,108 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,022 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Juan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Baybay is a city comprising 92 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Juan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
