Barangay Bagar

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bagar is one of the administrative divisions of City of Candon in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagar had a population of 1,260. This made it the 21st largest of 42 barangays in City of Candon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagar accounted for approximately 2.05% of the total population of City of Candon, which stood at 61,432 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagar moving from 1,327 residents to 1,260 residents, an intercensal change of -5.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Bagar is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
