Barangay Bolinawan

Situated in City of Carcar, Cebu, Barangay Bolinawan is one of 15 barangays that make up the city within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bolinawan had a population of 13,499. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in City of Carcar by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Bolinawan accounted for approximately 9.89% of the total population of City of Carcar, which stood at 136,453 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 10,881 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 13,499 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +24.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bolinawan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Carcar is a city comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bolinawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
