Situated in City of Cauayan, Isabela, Barangay Amobocan is one of 65 barangays that make up the city within Cagayan Valley.

This made it the 40th largest of 65 barangays in City of Cauayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. The barangay recorded 1,151 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,194 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.7%, consistent with a growing settlement.
