Barangay 18

Barangay 18 is a small barangay in the City of Cavite, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 18 had a population of 507. This made it the 71st largest of 84 barangays in City of Cavite by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay 18 accounted for approximately 0.50% of the total population of City of Cavite, which stood at 100,674 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 433 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 507 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +17.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay 18 is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Cavite is a city comprising 84 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 18, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 18 ranks 798th by 2020 population. Cavite is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay 18 is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
