Barangay Bulak

Barangay Bulak forms part of City of Gapan, a city in Nueva Ecija, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulak had a population of 2,588. This made it the 17th largest of 23 barangays in City of Gapan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Bulak accounted for approximately 2.10% of the total population of City of Gapan, which stood at 122,968 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,279 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,588 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bulak is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Gapan is a city comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulak, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
