Barangay Santa Elena

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Santa Elena is one of the administrative divisions of City of Iriga in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Elena had a population of 2,529. This made it the 21st largest of 36 barangays in City of Iriga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Santa Elena accounted for approximately 2.21% of the total population of City of Iriga, which stood at 114,457 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,291 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,529 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Santa Elena is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Iriga is a city comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Elena, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Santa Elena ranks 232nd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
