Barangay Kinamaligan

Barangay Kinamaligan is a large barangay in the City of Masbate, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kinamaligan had a population of 5,379. This made it the 6th largest of 30 barangays in City of Masbate by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Kinamaligan accounted for approximately 5.15% of the total population of City of Masbate, which stood at 104,522 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,917 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,379 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Kinamaligan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Masbate is a city comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kinamaligan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
