Barangay Nursery

Barangay Nursery is a large barangay in the City of Masbate, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nursery had a population of 12,654. This made it the 1st largest of 30 barangays in City of Masbate by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Nursery accounted for approximately 12.11% of the total population of City of Masbate, which stood at 104,522 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nursery changed from 12,125 to 12,654, a shift of +4.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Masbate. Barangay Nursery is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Masbate is a city comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nursery, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
