Barangay Tugbo

Barangay Tugbo is a large barangay in the City of Masbate, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tugbo had a population of 8,535. This made it the 2nd largest of 30 barangays in City of Masbate by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Tugbo accounted for approximately 8.17% of the total population of City of Masbate, which stood at 104,522 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tugbo changed from 6,833 to 8,535, a shift of +24.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Masbate. Barangay Tugbo is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Masbate is a city comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tugbo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
