Barangay Balintawak

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Balintawak is one of the administrative divisions of City of Ozamiz in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balintawak had a population of 679. This made it the 43rd largest of 51 barangays in City of Ozamiz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Balintawak accounted for approximately 0.48% of the total population of City of Ozamiz, which stood at 140,334 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Balintawak changed from 660 to 679, a shift of +2.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Ozamiz. Barangay Balintawak is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Ozamiz is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balintawak, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Occidental, which contains 490 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Balintawak ranks 313th by 2020 population.
