Barangay La Suerte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay La Suerte is one of the administrative divisions of City of Pagadian in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay La Suerte had a population of 838. This made it the 51st largest of 54 barangays in City of Pagadian by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay La Suerte accounted for approximately 0.40% of the total population of City of Pagadian, which stood at 210,452 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,176 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 838 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -28.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay La Suerte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Pagadian is a city comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay La Suerte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Barangay La Suerte is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
