Barangay Balijuagan

Barangay Balijuagan forms part of City of Roxas, a city in Capiz, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balijuagan had a population of 2,166. This made it the 30th largest of 47 barangays in City of Roxas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Balijuagan accounted for approximately 1.21% of the total population of City of Roxas, which stood at 179,292 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,944 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,166 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Balijuagan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Roxas is a city comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balijuagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
