Barangay Tungkong Mangga

Barangay Tungkong Mangga is a very large barangay in the city of City of San Jose Del Monte, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tungkong Mangga had a population of 16,324. This made it the 9th largest of 59 barangays in City of San Jose Del Monte by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Tungkong Mangga accounted for approximately 2.50% of the total population of City of San Jose Del Monte, which stood at 651,813 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 12,856 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 16,324 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +27.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tungkong Mangga as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Jose Del Monte is a city comprising 59 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tungkong Mangga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tungkong Mangga ranks 28th by 2020 population.
