Barangay San Francisco

Barangay San Francisco is a large barangay in the City of San Pablo, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Francisco had a population of 14,916. This made it the 2nd largest of 80 barangays in City of San Pablo by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Francisco accounted for approximately 5.23% of the total population of City of San Pablo, which stood at 285,348 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 15,859 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 14,916 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay San Francisco is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Pablo is a city comprising 80 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Francisco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Francisco ranks 52nd by 2020 population. Laguna is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay San Francisco is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
