Barangay Caingin

Barangay Caingin is a very large barangay in the City of Santa Rosa, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Caingin had a population of 24,481. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in City of Santa Rosa by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Caingin accounted for approximately 5.90% of the total population of City of Santa Rosa, which stood at 414,812 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Caingin changed from 21,597 to 24,481, a shift of +13.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Santa Rosa. Barangay Caingin is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Santa Rosa is a city comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caingin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Caingin ranks 27th by 2020 population.
