Barangay Nabbuan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Nabbuan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Santiago in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nabbuan had a population of 3,895. This made it the 17th largest of 37 barangays in City of Santiago by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Nabbuan accounted for approximately 2.62% of the total population of City of Santiago, which stood at 148,580 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nabbuan changed from 3,417 to 3,895, a shift of +14.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Santiago. Barangay Nabbuan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Santiago is a city comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nabbuan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Barangay Nabbuan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
