Barangay Guinlajon

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Guinlajon is one of the administrative divisions of City of Sorsogon in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guinlajon had a population of 5,228. This made it the 6th largest of 64 barangays in City of Sorsogon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Guinlajon accounted for approximately 2.87% of the total population of City of Sorsogon, which stood at 182,237 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,609 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,228 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Guinlajon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Sorsogon is a city comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guinlajon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
