Barangay San Ramon

Barangay San Ramon is a small barangay in the City of Sorsogon, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Ramon had a population of 998. This made it the 53rd largest of 64 barangays in City of Sorsogon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Ramon accounted for approximately 0.55% of the total population of City of Sorsogon, which stood at 182,237 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,075 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 998 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay San Ramon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Sorsogon is a city comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Ramon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
