Situated in City of Sto. Tomas, Batangas, Barangay San Miguel is one of 30 barangays that make up the city within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 18,959. This made it the 3rd largest of 30 barangays in City of Sto. Tomas by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 8.68% of the total population of City of Sto. Tomas, which stood at 218,500 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 10,087 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 18,959 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +88.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Miguel is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Sto.
