According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Quezon had a population of 2,339. This made it the 17th largest of 54 barangays in City of Surigao by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Quezon accounted for approximately 1.37% of the total population of City of Surigao, which stood at 171,107 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,229 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,339 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Quezon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Surigao is a city comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Quezon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
