Barangay Iruhin South

Barangay Iruhin South is a small barangay in the City of Tagaytay, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Iruhin South had a population of 1,397. This made it the 24th largest of 34 barangays in City of Tagaytay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Iruhin South accounted for approximately 1.64% of the total population of City of Tagaytay, which stood at 85,330 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,127 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,397 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +24.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Iruhin South is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tagaytay is a city comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Iruhin South, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Iruhin South ranks 629th by 2020 population.
