Barangay Kauswagan

Situated in City of Tangub, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Kauswagan is one of 55 barangays that make up the city within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kauswagan had a population of 853. This made it the 36th largest of 55 barangays in City of Tangub by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Kauswagan accounted for approximately 1.25% of the total population of City of Tangub, which stood at 68,389 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kauswagan moving from 762 residents to 853 residents, an intercensal change of +11.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Kauswagan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
