Barangay Kimat

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Kimat is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tangub in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kimat had a population of 568. This made it the 44th largest of 55 barangays in City of Tangub by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Kimat accounted for approximately 0.83% of the total population of City of Tangub, which stood at 68,389 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kimat moving from 587 residents to 568 residents, an intercensal change of -3.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Kimat is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
