Barangay Santa Cruz

Situated in City of Tangub, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Santa Cruz is one of 55 barangays that make up the city within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Cruz had a population of 2,000. This made it the 7th largest of 55 barangays in City of Tangub by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Santa Cruz accounted for approximately 2.92% of the total population of City of Tangub, which stood at 68,389 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,855 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,000 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Santa Cruz is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tangub is a city comprising 55 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Cruz, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
